Healthy Lifestyle Tips for the New Year

It’s a new year, and with that always comes a recommitment to eat healthier, exercise more and treat our bodies with a little more care. It’s not always easy to make changes, but we thought we would help with these healthy lifestyle tips.


Each day, drink ½ of your body weight in ounces of water. For example, if you weigh 140 lbs, you should consume 70 oz of water each day to maintain proper hydration. 


Consider an inexpensive pedometer (or a more expensive blue tooth enabled tracker) and try to reach the goal of 10,000 steps per day. 


Make salads more fulfilling by loading them with lots of veggies, and throw in some sweet potatoes, or whole grains to add flavor and make them more satisfying. (Check out Chef Raffy’s blog for a new recipe)


Skip the bread and turn your favorite wrap or sandwich into a bowl, loaded with brown rice and all your favorite fresh ingredients.
